In the aftermath of the fall of the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the country experienced a significant exodus of educated and accomplished professionals, resulting in an unprecedented brain drain. This migration has deeply impacted critical sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, rural development, natural resources management, economics and banking, infrastructure, private sector growth, rule of law, women’s empowerment, and social affairs.
Recognizing the vital role of human capital in rebuilding a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan, a group of Afghan experts initiated a unified effort to reverse this brain drain. This effort gave rise to AfghanExpert, a professional, non-political, and impartial non-profit organization created by expert Afghans for expert Afghans.
AfghanExpert’s mission is to mobilize Afghan professionals, experts, and practitioners from a wide range of fields—both within Afghanistan and among the diaspora—by providing a platform for meaningful contributions to Afghanistan’s reconstruction and sustainable development. By leveraging the collective knowledge and experience of Afghan experts, the organization seeks to address the country’s pressing challenges and foster innovative solutions.
As a collaborative hub, AfghanExpert serves as a space where Afghan and international experts can share knowledge, develop partnerships, and implement impactful projects. The organization conducts feasibility studies, research, and promotes best practices in the design, management, and execution of programs across diverse sectors, ensuring sustainable and effective results.
In addition to facilitating partnerships with national and international organizations and agencies, APEH promotes knowledge exchange by organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, and publications. This enables the dissemination of critical information and fosters innovative solutions for Afghanistan’s development challenges.
To ensure the inclusion of all Afghan voices, AfghanExpert maintains a comprehensive database of professionals from various fields, inviting Afghan experts, scholars, students, and retirees to join its platform.
